UPSC runs computer established combined medical examination for recruitment to the services and places of Assistant Medical Officer in railways, Indian Ordinance Factories Health Service, Junior scale places in essential health services, etc.
UPSC CMS (Combined Medical Services) Examination 2016

Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: You must have attained the age limit of UPSC CMS 2016 at least 32 years as on 1 January of year of examination. Age relaxation for reserved class is applicable as per the norms.
Educational qualification: For entrance to the evaluation, you must have passed the written as well as practical portions of the final MBBS examination.
CMS Examination Pattern-
Part I is written valuation of 500 marks. You've got to take the written examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each paper is of 2hours duration. Part II is personality test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the written evaluation. There's negative marking
of 1/3 of mark for each wrong answer.
Computer Based Test-
Till 2013, the written examination for Combined Medical Services Examination for two objective kind papers had been ran through the OMR sheets. Nonetheless, from 2014 the UPSC has decided that the examination will be conducted in Computer Established mode.
