All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS) is going to conduct the AIIMS PG 2018 exam at the national level. This is an entrance exam which will help the successful candidates to take admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes. The candidates will be admitted in various courses that are offered under Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences. This entrance exam is conducted twice in a year, firstly for the January session and then secondly for the July session. , according to which the exam will be a computer based test (CBT) and will be conducted on 12 November 2017. Exam pattern for AIIMS PG exam:
The syllabus and exam pattern for AIIMS PG 2018 exam is prescribed by the examination authority. The question paper will carry questions that will be asked form the topics taught during the MBBS programmes. These questions will be basically from Para-clinical, Pre-clinical and Clinical phase of the program.
I. For MD/ MS, the exam pattern is as follows:
1. The exam has to be completed in a duration of 03 hours.
2. There will be 200 MCQ type questions.
3. 01 mark will be awarded for every correct answer while 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
II. For MDS:
1. As per the AIIMS PG 2018 exam pattern, only a duration of 01 hour and 30 minutes will be provided to the candidates.
2. There will be 90 MCQ type questions in the paper.
3. 01 mark will be awarded for every correct answer while 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
AIIMS PG Admit Card 2018:
AIIMS PG exam will be released in the month of October 2015 and can be obtained by entering the application number and date of birth. You will only be able to download the admit card if your application form is accepted by the examination authority. There will be details like roll umber, exam center, your name, time and examination instructions.
The result for AIIMS PG 2018 exam will be declared on 18 November 2017 and can check the result by entering their roll number and application number. The declared result will carry the names of those candidates who have qualified the exam and the candidates have to score at least 50 percentile in the exam.
