CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) will apply AIPMT 2016 Cutoff on the marks obtained by the candidates in the respective examination for two broad purposes – to delimit the candidate count and to pick the best lot for allotment on the available seats. It can be seen as a screening factor which will help to ‘filter’ the candidates for the next round of admission process. The marks obtained by the candidate in the examination will be compared with the cutoff to see if they qualify for the successive round. If his score is more than or equal to the cutoff, he will be selected.
But if the marks obtained are less than the AIPMT 2016 Cutoff the candidate will be rejected from taking further participation. Cutoff is generally varied each year and it largely depends on several factors – number of candidates, number of seats, reservation norms, exam difficulty level, marking scheme, and last year cutoff and admission trends. One can see the cutoff of AIPMT from last year to get a vague idea of what is it going to be this year.
