AIPGMEE 2016 is a national level postgraduate medical entrance exam which would be conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) from 2 to 8 December 2015 for granting admission to 50% All India Quota MD/MS/Diploma seats in various medical colleges of India except those of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir. There are around 5500 seats collectively from all the participating medical colleges.

AIPGMEE 2016 Application Form
Candidates can register on the official website of the examination from 16 September 2015. They have to provide correct personal, educational, and communicational details. They can pay the application fee through credit/debit card, and net-banking. Fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs.3750 while the same for SC/ST/PwD candidates is Rs.2750. It is suggested to keep a copy of the fee receipt and application form for future purpose.
AIPGMEE 2016 Admit Card
The candidates who fill the application form successfully would be able to download the admit card from November 2015 onwards. Exam body would inform of the release of admit card via SMS and email. To get permission in the exam hall and take the AIPGMEE Exam 2016, it is necessary to bring the original admit card. No candidate would be allowed to take the exam if he is not having the original admit card, a government approved photo ID proof and its photocopy.

AIPGMEE 2016 Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian citizens can apply for the AIPGMEE 2016 Exam.
- Candidate must have MBBS degree and has achieved registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship. He must submit proof of MBBS degree and registration from MCI/State Council at counselling and allotment rounds.
- In case a candidate has completed his MBBS from any of the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, he is required to submit a proof as a duly signed affidavit declaring that he was nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to complete MBBS from any of these states.
- Candidate must have completed MBBS and compulsory internship/practical training on or before 31 October 2015 and 31 March 2016 respectively.
AIPGMEE 2016 Exam Pattern
- Candidates would be given 210 minutes to solve the examination.
- Mode of the AIPGMEE Exam 2016 is online – answers have to be marked by mouse.
- Questions would be framed from MBBS syllabus (pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical).
- A total of 300 questions would be asked in the examination.
- Type of question – objective type. Each question would have 3 wrong and 1 correct options.
- Question would not be of same weightage.
- No marks would be cut for wrong answer.
